HOLIDAY GIFT SHOP is coming to our school
Dear Parents,
We are inviting you and your child to participate in the upcoming “Holiday Gift Shop” program being offered at Millburn Central. This program makes it possible for children to experience the joy of choosing their own special holiday gifts for family and friends.
The “Holiday Gift Shop” will be set up in the school cafeteria and supervised by the Millburn Central PTO. Parent volunteers will help the children pick that perfect gift for the price they want.
You will have the opportunity to plan a budget with your child, and younger students will get a small bank to help them save. This is a great opportunity for them to learn about budgeting and giving to others.
A “money control” envelope will be sent home as the date draws closer, to provide guidance to the parents in helping their child decide who they should buy gifts for and how much they should spend.
Imagine the pride they will feel and the fun they will have surprising a loved one with a “special” gift they bought…all by themselves!
In the upcoming weeks, additional information will be sent home with your youngest child.
